Remove RSS Feeds From Outlook

Subscribe to a RSS Feed and you will automatically receive the summaries of all updated news from your favorite web sites in Microsoft Outlook. You can therefore get the latest news summaries via email messages, without having to open those web pages. We will show you how to subscribe or remove RSS Feeds from Microsoft Outlook and how to turn on and off RSS Feeds within Microsoft Outlook.

 Add RSS Feeds in Outlook 2007, 2010, and 2013

Follow these steps to subscribe to RSS Feeds for updated news summaries.

Step 1: Switch to the Mail view by clicking the Mailin The Navigation pane.

Step 2: Click the RSS Feeds icon in the Navigation Pane and then click on the Add A New RSS Feed link in the right-click menu.

Step 3: Enter the RSS Feed address in the empty box of the New RSS feed dialog box

Step 4: Click Yes in the pop-up dialog box. If you don’t need to configure RSS Feed options, click this button.

If you wish to set up some options such as Feed name and delivery folder, limit on updates, etc., it is not necessary to click the Advanced link.

 Remove RSS Feeds in Outlook 2007, 2010, and 2013

You can unsubscribe from RSS Feeds and not receive any updates summaries.

Step 1: Switch to the Mail view by clicking the Mailin The Navigation pane.

Step 2: Right-click the RSS Feeds Folder you wish to delete from the Navigation Pane. Next, click the Delete menu item.

Notice: The Delete Folder in Outlook 2007 is Delete “your name” (e.g., BBC News – Technology). You will see the Delete “BBC News – Technology” option in the right-click menu.

It is possible that you need to stop receiving news summaries and not delete the RSS Feeds directory. You can disable RSS Feeds in Microsoft Outlook.

 Turn on / off RSS Feeds in Outlook 2010 / 2013

These steps will allow you to enable or disable RSS feeds in Microsoft Outlook 2010/2013.

Step 1: Click on the File > Option.

Step 2: Click the Advanced link in the Outlook Options dialog box.

Step 3: Next, go to the RSS feeds section.

To disable RSS Feeds please uncheck the Any RSS Feed item updated appears as new option and uncheck Synchronize RSS Feeds with the Common Feed List(CFL) in Windows Options.

Please check both the options to turn on RSS Feeds.

Step 4: Click OK.

 Turn on / off RSS Feeds in Outlook 2007

You can turn the RSS Feeds on or off in Microsoft Outlook 2007 by following these steps:

Step 1: Click on the Tools > Option.

Step 2: Click the Advanced Options link on the other tab in the Options dialog box.

Step 3: Next, open the Advanced Options dialog box.

To disable RSS Feeds please uncheck the Sync RSS Feeds to Common Feed List and uncheck Any RSS Feed item updated appears as a new item.

You can turn on RSS Feeds by selecting both of these options.

Step 4: Click on the OKbuttons within each dialog box.
